This is a great article because it reminds us that computers are tools. The brand doesn’t matter as long as the functionality is there.

When you think in terms of functionality, you change the computing conversation, because instead of having students (in this example) thinking about a specific type of machine, you suddenly have them thinking about what they need to do on their machine. It’s a subtle but important shift that turns students from computer consumers into consumer users.
