Debian Switches to Xfce By Default, Will Evaluate Demand for GNOME | OMG! Ubuntu!

It looks more like Debian might switch to Xfce. GNOME is still pretty popular on Debian, but I’m in favor of anything that exposes more people to the beauty that is Xfce.
