I haven’t spent much time with Evolution because Thunderbird is so easy. And while you do need to tweak Thunderbird, the upside is it does everything I want the way I want it to. I understand the idea that many people want an Outlook comparable, but to me, the fact that Thunderbird isn’t an Outlook clone is very much a positive.

The only thing that sets Evolution apart from the alternatives is that it’s actively maintained and have seen ongoing stability and feature development for years. The competition is skewed towards Evolution because there isn’t really anyone competing with it any longer.

Although I consider Thunderbird pretty mature. I know Mozilla doesn’t give it a lot of love, but it’s a pretty strong application.
