After Years of Abusive E-mails, the Creator of Linux Steps Aside

I’ve seen a lot of contentious posts about this. My hot takes are:

  1. Living by the Golden Rule. I’d be very upset if someone I cared about was on the wrong side of a Linus Torvalds rant, email or otherwise.
  2. Torvalds is an adult trying to make himself a better person. That’s something a community should support.
  3. The kernel is in great hands with Greg Kroah-Hartman.
